After 15 years of marriage, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao are getting divorced. 

why divorce :-  Due to which the divorce is  happening, its official news has not been told by Aamir Khan nor by Kiran Rau.

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao statement :- "In these 15 beautiful years together, we have shared the experience, joy and happiness of a lifetime.  Our relationship has grown only in trust, respect and love.Now we would like to start a new chapter in our life.  Not as husband and wife , but as co - parent and family . We started a separation plan sometime back Now feel comfortable to formalize this arrangement.

Even though we live separately , we will share our lives as one extended family . We are dedicated parents to our son Azad, whom we will raise together We will also continue to work as partners on films , Paani Foundation and other projects that we care deeply about .Many thanks to our families and friends for the continued support and understanding in our relationship without whom we would not have felt so safe to take this step.. We look forward to the best wishes and blessings from our well wishers and hope that like us you will not see this divorce as the end but as the beginning of a new journey.Thank you and love, Kiran and Aamir"
